It is very normal. It should settle in two or three days. I had the update since last Friday and things finally started calming down late Mon

Usually takes a couple of days for battery to settle after a big update. Should stabalize soon.

I'm experiencing the same thing system seems to have calmed down from taking 80 percent cpu down to a constant 30 percent will love when it goes down more.

The reason why the battery drain after the first and second day of a new os install, it's because everything need to be re-indexed properly and depends how much stuff you have on your phone, it could take a while. Indexing is required for a proper search, because otherwise you would type something in the search and it would take like 10 minute to show up.
