Hi there might seem like a stupid question but how do i adjust my phone volume louder without my notifications going louder as well. Is this optional? I've tried several times but can't seem to figure it out.

    Thx

Did you turn on "Always Adjust Media Volume" in Settings > Main Volume?

I have this turned on. Don't know if I personally turned it on. Others have it turned off?

By phone volume I mean my actual phone ring tone.

I don't think there is a way to do this since your actual phone ring tone is just a specific notification, but still a notification. I would suggest just setting a louder sound file to be your ringtone.

Really? Sounds strange you can't adjust it. No??

Go into your notification settings and adjust the ringer volume there. It is specific to the ringer.

Where exactly in the notifications settings? The first window that comes up? This seems to affect everything's volume.

What OS are you on? The notification page got changed up a bit between 10.2 and 10.3. 10.3 added the ability to have separate volume levels per notification type.

And it could always be set to be adjusted independent of the media. That's in Settings > Main Volume.

This is how I adjust the global ringtone volume.

Just slide the slider with the speaker symbol to the level you want.

    Hope that helps.
