I succesfully added the amazon android store app to a z10, but now I want to add the google play store.

Is there a link to that? If not, do people still recommend snap?

I looked in the BB store but there was no SNAP app (the apk loader app anyways)

I would say that snap is the best out there, but it still needs to be sideloaded itself first.

If you want something that installs directly, try http://market.1mobile.com/

I downloaded SNAP form the developers site, but when I try to open it it says "unable to open SNnap-1_9_6_0.bar"

Do you mean i have to side a BAR file? (new to this)...can this be done completely on the phone or do I have to load apps on a PC to do so?

BAR files can only be installed from BBWorld or via sideloading. It's a fairly easy process to sideload once you get the pieces in place and once you get Snap, you'll probably not need to do it again.
