We haven't even ordered them... Myself and Owner of Company have the Z10 and had problems with the 10.1.0.273 EAS over port 80.
The reason i'm asking for insight on the issue is because I want to find out what other users are experiencing is that not the point of a forum to ask questions? - I get your response but truthfully its not the type of response i'm looking for.

    Anyone else?

This is a BB10 constraint to comply with EAS best-practices.

Basically, EAS doesn't want you to use unencrypted connections to pass you credentials (eg name and password) in the clear.

Yeah, it used to work with EAS 2.x (Exchange 2003) but was removed from EAS 12.x (Exchange 2007) and above.

I believe the BB10 is working off the EAS 14 reference implementation.

Buy a cert and encrypt your connection.

This does not answer my question at all. All this says is stop using unencrypted and buy a cert.
I asked if any other users are using the latest 10.1.0.4181 update and use EAS over port 80 with it on either a Z10 or Q10.
10.1.0.273 was trash and stopped working in the 10.1.0.2312 update which i'm currently active using EAS on port 80 on my Z10.
I mean i really don't understand the point of a forum if no one can actually answer the question being asked.

    Thank you.

EAS over port 80? Are you in fact referring to OWA?

    So, not Outlook Web Access?

Why do you require it to be on port 80 only?

Because we don't use SSL for 443 for the exchange server.
It's how the exchange server is configured. what i'm trying to get at is.
on 10.1.0.2312 on the Z10 STL100-3 works perfect with EAS on Port 80
other versions like 10.1.0.273 were bugged out and put into a KB with blackberry with no resolution or time line for a fix.

all i'm asking is does anyone currently use 10.1.0.4181 its what my carrier is pushing to us as an update.
and i don't want to update if my exchange will stop working....

I advise you not to use all caps, nevertheless: some people from 80's and 90's are still alive and can be easily irritated by this ;-)

You can change the port in the settings. Just going to warn you though, using port 80 for ActiveSync will send your traffic in clear text.

Port 80 = unsecure html (http)
    Port 443 = Secure traffic(https)

Now, I'm going to go on a rant. Tell your company to quit being cheap asses and just buy a ****in certificate. Depending on what version of Exchange you have, certs can be as cheap as $10. Even if you need to get one for $100; that is cheap protection. And besides, it runs MUCH better with one.

OWA works under the same website hosted by IIS, they are different however. BOTH should be protected by the certificate.

EDIT: I missed the part for Exchange 2003. You can get a certificate for about $10 bucks.

LOL. Ok. - But just so you all know that 10.1.0.4181 works fine with port 80
with Exchange 2003 we're in the process of updating stuff and certificates is on the agenda.

Thanks for the follow up dude.

I would not recommend updating to the 4181 MR update! Too many Hub and email problems.

OWA is not supported. Enable Active sync on the server.
