I'm with you - UMA or WiFi calling could be a deal-breaker for me as well.

Some of y'all sound crazy in here!

So funny folks aren't serious about life because they need apps on their phones?
No I should have an option to dl the apps available to every other platform but bb.

I'm starting to not blame rim anymore because it seems as if some of these company's just don't care.for blackberry at all.

I've emailed countless companies and they couldn't give a crap if we used our apps.

    3 apps I need

Tune in life savor during football and basketball season.

    Instagram I use it everyday

Last app picstich I use this a lot also.

Personally....I have the apps I want on my SGIII and my iPhone so there are no apps that would be deal breakers for me on my Z10.

However......for BB, people are clamoring for Netflix, so I think that's a must have. I would really want to see WhatsApp just for personal ease. And I do love Instagram.

I don't know about those other apps but instagram is confirmed to be there.

Things that I need to have (apps that I use - almost - every day), if not... I will stay with my actual phone (Torch):
    - BB Travel - pretty sure this one is coming
    - Whatsapp
    - MS Messenger & Google Talk
    - Google Voice (free calls all over US and Canada)
    - Google Maps
    - XE (for my international travels)
    - WebEx
    - AA

What I would love to have? Of course Skype - this is the only one missing. People ask for Netflix, but I would prefer it on my Playbook, not in my phone

Well, coming from Windows Phone, I don't have much room to complain about apps, but I'd like the selection to be pretty close to what Windows Phone has now. Potential deal breakers are:
    Facebook
Free voice nav (don't care which brand it is, offline mode is a plus)
Overdrive (views/plays the free eBooks and audio books my library lends digitally)

I'm not a fan of third party apps, I download as little of them as possible. But one I really do like is Shazam.

Native apps are VERY important to me. I hope BB10 has a password keeper and an RSS feed app, much like Social Feeds on OS 7.

While they won't affect my decision to use a bb10 device, I would like to see apps for kindle, spotify and tune-in radio on there and some apps from google like g+ and maps would be handy too.

Default 3 Apps that might effect your decision on BB10?

i don't have any 3 that will effect the my decision. I really just want Instagram, Netflix, and Skype.

And i'd love it if BB10 had apps that would allow for me to: know the position of the sun at various time, detect frequencies, and find music tempos.

Ignoring the native apps/apps with a high probability of being there:

    Skype
    Whatsapp
Probably Instagram. I don't take pics, but I like looking through other people's photos.

Tired of people still saying that XYZ BB alternative is/will be better than Skype/Whatsapp etc. It doesn't matter how many thousand times better the BB alternative is, it's useless if most of the people you talk to don't have a blackberry

I have just two - OnStar Remotelink and WhatsApp. Up for upgrade on Feb 1, and trying to decide between continuing with BB or moving to Windows Phone. Not sure what to do!

I have 2, SixTools or QuickLaunch because they act like additional buttons to the Volume Up/Down and Mute ones.

to me, there are no make or break apps... Skype honestly is not needed for anyone... Yes it will be nice to get o the PB for the people on the go, not needed for a phone, and netflix, who cares... and instagram, after their debacle in December over their terms of service, I'd be happy to NOT have the app. There just isn't one app that will make me happy beyond what BB10 will offer that we know of

After reading about 80% of the responses for deal breakin apps, I must admit there is NOT one that would change my mind about getting a BB10 device. Don't get me wrong .......the more apps at launch the better, but I need a PHONE FIRST. For me this is the most important thing.

Edit; I do need and want the BRIDGE feature on release date. That might be a deal breaker

I agree with darkehawke, I am more concerned about what the device itself can do to make me more productive. I personally feel that all this focusing on apps like Instagram, Skype, games, etc is really just a distraction from the real benefit which is getting things done in a smooth, effective, and elegant way. From what I see, BB10 does that and more. For me, it's a no-brainer. What I like about the BB10 is the integration of the inboxes, the efficiency of the keyboard, and the use of Blackberry Balance (yes, I work in a BES environment). Being able to leverage my Playbook with my device and have both my personal and work life together yet separate brings it all together. Games, music, etc is just icing on the cake. Bring it on already!!

So will Skype be on the platform still or have they changed their mind again because I thought you kept saying that it will be on the platform?
