I'm trying to get my sms to appear on my cars message centre. BMW units bond to the phone fine, and I get a bmw logo on my lockscreen courtesy of the mycar functionality. I can download my phone book fine, and make calls without issue. However when i try and access my sms messages, the car brings up an error saying either unsupported, or simply no messages, even when there are new unread ones in the phone, even ones that arrived whilst it was connected.

I have set in the bluetooth settings under map options to enable sms (and my gmail) , enabled today view also, but nothing allows me to see messages in my car. Does anyone else have this working ok on a pre idrive bmw system (boardmonitor style, and old bluetooth ulf module)

you should ask your local dealership if they have an update for your car, your phone os can be newer then your car version

thanks for the reply, but unfortunately bmw ulf modules can't be updated other than to replace the entire unit
