In my limited (only used it once) experience with using that programme, it hung on several attempts. No message or anything, just stayed on a screen for ages. I just closed it (pressed "X") and reopened and started again.

I have a Q10 (UK o2) and it worked for me, so iim confident it will work for others.

    My phone is Q10SQN100-3/10.2.0.1767

Using sachesi worked for my Z10 on o2. Under install tab, click folder, then navigate to the folder where the downloaded files are and select. Then let it install and sit back.

All went ok, had to update my account passwords on reboot but otherwise all good.

I've very little knowledge of that programme. Hopefully, a more experience user will step in and advice on that error.

Glad to see some people are being successful with the sachesi tool but I think I am too paranoid to try this myself so I will have to wait for the official uk version whenever that may be.

Updated with Sachesi. Took 30mins or so but very easy. Had to remove my device password temporarily but connect via usb, use Singapore info and it downloads the official release to a folder in the same location as the sachesi.exe, then install that entire folder. Make a cup of tea and you're done. No need to muck around / depend upon carriers, thanks blackberry community!

My only issue with this route is you really don't know what you have installed on your phone as the sachesi program could be installing additional things such as malware. It probably isn't but I personally can't take the risk, wish I could though as I hate not having a definite date when I will get 10.2.

Thanks for all the useful advise in here. I used Sachesi, Country: 525, Carrier: 005 and my Q10 is a SQN100-3. The install seems to have worked great, and I am running 10.2.

The restart after the update took a long long time, and I was a bit worried, but I stayed patient and eventually it started up and everything (including side-loaded Android apps) is working great. I have been having fun exploring the new options in the OS...

    It gives 10.2 for stl-002 z10 only.

When I put stl-001 it gives the old 10.1 software.

    Again left out

I am a little nervous about using sachesi, rightly or wrongly.

I am on O2 UK and my partner is on Vodafone UK, we both have Z10's. If 10.2 drops on Vodafone first can I force it onto my phone by either using the Vodafone sim or by removing my O2 sim and connecting to Link?

If the phone is unlocked / sim free, just put the voda sim in, and go to software updates - install the update and then pop your 02 sim back in. No need for link. I've done it with Vodafone instead of 3 who take ages!

True, you can check what's being installed and I'm not 100% sure but I think Sachesi takes the files from BlackBerry's servers.

But I agree, as the end consumer we shouldn't have to worry about these things and it should be readily available direct from them! Dates and deadlines don't seem to be their thing at the moment though.

If your Z10's are unlocked, you can use either sim that gets the update first.
