    With all these leaks coming out, is there an expected date for the official to be out? Because I get excited with this and I just wanted to know if it will be soon...

    Let's look back.

    10.1 Developer SDK : 18 April 2013 (10.1.0.1485)
    10.1 Rollout (World except USA): 14 May 2013 (10.1.0.1720)

    10.2 Developer SDKs: 13 June 2013 (10.2.0.341), 14 August 2013 (10.2.0.1157), 29 August 2013 (10.2.0.1445), 10 October 2013 (10.2.0.1793)
    10.2 Rollout (World except USA): 23 October 2013 and following (10.2.0.1791)

    10.2.1 Developer SDK: Soon?
    10.2.1 Rollout: ???

    We won't know how far 10.2.1 will go before release, which is a problem. 10.1 and the 10.1 SDK were pretty close, while 10.2 had a long, drawn-out history. And with all the changes in 10.2.1, I have a feeling that the release won't be a month after the SDK.

    excuse my (lack of) knowledge on how software versions get numbered, but is it possible that 10.2.1 comes out officially as 10.3?

    I doubt it, although BB did rename BBOS 6.1 to BB7 when it started to balloon.

    According to their roadmap, the 10.2.1 Beta SDK should come within the end of the month. Assuming all goes well, the SDK OS should come around the same time.

    Fingers crossed, we should see 10.2.1 AT THE EARLIEST late December- mid January.
