Every time I update the firmware on my Z10, the first time I use the Games app it asks me for a username. If I use the username I had before, it says that the name is in use. How I fix this? I am using the same email always.

By "update the firmware" do you mean load a new OS using the autoloader method which wipes the device? Sounds like that to me (as in my experience OTA OS updates do not force you to log back into services).

If you use autoloaders, there is nothing wrong going on: It is supposed to ask for name and email. The issue is it complaining that your name is in use, which is odd, since people can have the same name.

Does it connect to BBM? Can it reach the server after that? If those are positives and you're using the same email/BBID, there is no reason for it to complain...

Let us know so we can try to find a solution.

Is is autoloader.

When I use the app, I can see all my friends, so it is connected to BBM.

But if I click edit profile, and try to set my name to what I thought was my username before it says that username is taken. So you definitely can't have same names.

But maybe I never had that name...

Shame on BlackBerry and their confusing terminology.

It is indeed a username. But do they name it in order for people to be fully aware of this?
