    1. Get an updated CoC apk and go thru the bar conversion stuff. Do not sideload it yet.
    2. On your device, launch CoC. When the "update available" prompts, minimize then close. Do not restart your device.
    3. Immediately after closing the app, sideload the new file.
    4. When done, launch the app. This time, instead of the "update available" message it should display "downloading content".
    5. Happy CoCing!

    By the way, no need to worry about your game data. It will remain intact.

    But, making a backup prior won't hurt.

    there is a new update today. I tried to install update from 1mobile but it will not update "cannot update application. Can anyone suggest a way to fix this so I don't lose my game data? I just did a application back up before doing anything.

    Please help. I do not want to lose my progress.

    Does anyone else have the issue where during the setup/tutorial of the game the last step is to pick a castle to raid on the campaign map, well for me no matter which update i try the map is shrunk so small i can't accurately click on a castle to attack, therefore i can't finish the tutorial... with earlier versions i didn't have this issue when i was forced to update this occurred! pls help i loved this game soo much!
