I was wondering..I have the Z10 on AT&T and does it use data while playing? I haven't noticed any ads but wasn't sure. I enjoy playing but can only afford the 3GB data plan each month. I don't want to continue playing if it's going to eat up all of my data. Any help would be great, thanks!

The free versions use some data when they push ads while you play. I've noticed data usage in the app, but it is usually a 2-3 MB per week average. Not very much at all, really.

Thanks for the quick posts. I also talked to someone at AT&T and they said it'll only not use data if I use my wifi network..So if I don't use wifi it'll still use up my data? Will the game use my wifi automatically when I turn the wifi on or?

I have no idea..they told me any apps use up data, because it's connecting to the internet. I hadn't noticed any ads though so I wasn't sure. I just dont want to have a huge bill. She said by having wifi on wont use my data..she wasn't much help.

Try playing it in Airplane Mode.
I highly doubt that ALL apps need connectivity by default. Some might need it sometimes, but not all games all the time. She makes it sound like a design requirement of the OS.
On most modern platforms, Wi-Fi will be preferred by the system when both it and data are toggled. I'll let the resident BB10 experts confirm. - 04-15-2013, 08:03 PM #24
It really won't be a lot of data, not enough to dent you plan. A downloaded song will use about the same as playing AB for a couple or more weeks.
