    Default Ubuntu Phone Components Running on BB10!

    Short vid I found of Ubuntu phone components up and running on the Dev Alpha. This is even more testament to the power of BB10

    Thanks, looks like someone has been playing...and that will appeal to pholks that like to tinker.

    Well, it's Qt and C++. BB10 supports Qt 4.83 and so Qt apps just works on BB10. Ubuntu mobile's development environment is Qt and HTML5, and so apps written for that platform should work on BB10.

    Just a note that Symbian and Meego components work fine on BB10 too. I have used them in the past on Playbook and more recently, Dev Alpha.
    Developer of PPSSPP, ReQognise, Dingleberry, PB Connect, Sachup + Sachibar and other Qt apps. Porter of many opensource Qt apps.

    when we say components, what does that mean exactly????

    They are QML types like 'Button' that correspond to a native button for the platform. So on Symbian, 'Button { text: "Test" }' will get you a native Symbian button like this:
