Hi,

I got a Dev alpha B from BB 3 days ago. I am not able to reset/update the device through auotloader. The device currently has no carrier. The OS version on device is 10.0.9.1103. I am going for an upgrade to 10.1.0.1485. I am stuck on device "resetting state". It gets repeated over and over with phone also restarting each time.

Actually I was just checking the device and removed the battery. After plugging it in device showed a message of "expiration date over". So googled and got through some post suggesting reset the device through autoloader; this was a known issue with dev devices. But after 4-5 hours when I again restarted the device it booted up fine and got to the normal start screen, working normally again.

As I had already downloaded autoloader, I thought to update the device anyway. But I am not able to do so. Is this normal or is there any problem. Should I download autoloader once more and try again(maybe a corrupt download).

Im having this same problem. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Reset the phone from the device then shutdown the phone and start the autoloader and plug in the phone.

Hi I was facing same problem. For me what worked is changing USB port. I was using port at the front of CPU but when I attached phone to back USB ports and then turn off the phone and started autoloader file and then attach the device.

Also if you are using Win 7 /8 start bootloader in admin mode.

this happens alot for me, just, turn off your phone, open the autoloader and then plug it, if that doesnt work, plug it being on, and turn it off, try all possible methods

Man, I have the same problem. Mine is a STL100-1 (dont know the difference) and Im stuck with the same repeated message.

Some people told me to remove the batery and connect to the pc without the batery. Try it, maybe it will work for you. Didnt work for me, my z10 its still stuck.

Try connecting it being on, and then turn it off?

these two things solved it .
1. removed device password
2. started autoloader as admin
