what happens to everyone that signed up, do they need to attend a JAM in order to maybe get a device.

I've been tweeting BBDev and Alec about it, but haven't got a reply.
There are 1500 Dev C's reserved for devs who submitted apps before the deadline in January, but I'm confused as to their selection process.
They have a point system where basically you get points allocated for every approved app you submitted, but the draw is supposed to be in 2 days.
With the HUGE backlog of un-reviewed apps, it seems a bit unfair that they're going to base it on approved apps when they can't approve them fast enough.
It literally cuts my chances in half, so I sure hope they re-think it.

Edit: Just got a reply, and they've updated the T&C changing the approval deadline until March 1.

ffs, they just keep pushing the dead lines, by the time we get the devices it will be time for the phone to release in north america.

they told me they are doing it based on the point system when i emailled them as well, and they said would be contacting developers by feb 19th.

what i dont like about this system is that the people that spent many weeks developing a really good functional application for the blackberry will get penalized will the guy who pumped out 3 wall papere apps in one weekend will be awarded more points then the devs that are actually spending time making quality apps.
