Unhappy The messages app on Dev Alpha...

Been using the Messages app pulled from the Playbook, on my Dev Alpha, for a while. However since the first upgrade that was made available I have been unable to get the app to work.

It does start, however it loadds directly into a landscape format, already frozen, and never actually loads-up....

Has anyone had this same experience, and how have you dealt with it?

    Thanks people

If you pulled the messages app from a V2.01 of the Playbook, then this is normal isn't it?

In that version of the Playbook OS it only worked in landscape, with portrait mode available from OS V2.1.

I'm sure someone more accustomed will correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like that type of a thing.

    Si.

The Dev Alpha OS has become more BB10ish and as a result the Playbook messages app no longer works on it.

Ah ok, really? I had an inkling that something was not meshing between the OS and the app(s) from the Playbook but its good to have a second confirmation of that.

I guess the only thing to do is to hope for a patch or update; although highly unlikely.

Thanks again to you both for the input though
