Managed to get Viber working on my Dev Alpha C device after updating to the latest Dev 10.2 OS that runs Android 4.2.2 OS on the Background.

It still has some issues as it is an android port and not a Native App, some functionalities might work and some dont so installing it
is at your own risk.

The steps to get this working are:

1. Install the latest 10.2 OS to your Z10/Q10 or DA Device provided on the BlackBerry Dev website here
2. Follow the steps provided by xsacha in the forum post run almost any Android 2.3.3 apps on BB10 to port the Viber.apk file to a .bar file. ( Thanks xsacha )
3. Sideload the com.viber.voip bar file that was created to your device through the known Sideloading options.
4. Start the Viber app and wait for it to run through the first Initialization, might take a while..................... Dont worry be patient it will start.
5. Connect to a WiFi connection and setup your phone number, you will receive a activation sms with a number
   or select the Phone me option provided
6. Happy Vibering

Working:
I managed to make phonecalls
Was able to dial numbers although no contacts were found.
Was Able to chat
Was Able to Add contacts ( Adds to a Android contacts app )
After rebooting Contacts are still there
When App is minimized and you receive a message, it automatically brings up the app and shows a notification screen )
Was Able to search messages

Not Working:
Couldnt open the settings, just crashes the app
Couldnt Open the Local Blackberry Contacts

Alot of Android apps that didnt work before seem to work perfectly now on the 10.2 OS with Android 4.2.2 running in the background, so go ahead and try the apps that you didnt manage to get working before.

I cannot Share the .bar file I have as the debug token created in the steps above is for 1 device only and linked the the device pin,
but the working apk file can be found here.

Hey mate, I was able to do the same. Converted using the new method, my Z10 can poll the contacts (i tested several times) and shows both my Viber contacts and my Phone contacts.

What version of viber is that? The look of it is different to mine! Overall happy with the side load as everything is working too

Ok, great stuff, still need to figure out how to get to my contacts for some reason when I tap the settings icon it just crashes on me.

Viber has been working on 10.1 since the new method was introduced. The reason OP's looks updated because he's running 10.2 which has the 4.2.2 Android Runtime, so all apps are running as if they were on a 4.2 Android Device.

I'm using version, 3.1.0.3 and not working on that one, might have to try a older version.

Try the new version. It was released today or yesterday. 3.0.2.5. Works well.

I tried both versions, the new one allows me to go further into the settings but still crashes sometimes.
Might be the 10.2 OS acting up though.

Yes, you have to activate everytime u install it, but I noticed that the code remains the same try it.

Cool. But when I received a call on my Q10, the answer menu was covered because of screen size. It was difficult to click on "answer" icon. Does anyone meet this problem?

That correct cause the App wasnt designer for this screen real estate.

If you install the older 2.3.xxxx version you are able to view the dial and call screen.
Its not perfect but IT somewhat works.

I installed 3.0.2.5 on my ATT 10.0.10.xxx. Having the same contacts issue, but otherwise it works fine.

I have dev alpha B and installed 10.2 OS on it but after the 100% is completed at command prompt and it gets closed then when i look at my phone then red light continuously blinks and OS doesn't boots and i have followed the instructions properly.Please help me.

Me I'm running viber 3.1.1 on os 10.2.424 with the debug method. Viber works flawless except for calls, it crashes as soon it tries to establish it and for contacts, it doesn't load them all.

I'm on 10.2.1.575, I have tried every possible apk file and converted to bar files using debug token and unlocked runtimes.

The app sideloads fine and contacts are synced, but as soon as you try to make a call or receive a call, the app crashes and automatically closes. Anyone with a solution or working bar file, PLEASE share!
