    Default It has autofocus!

    I have been takih a few pics on my deva and i notice somethign different it focuses if u stay still for a few seconds if i am not mistaken this is an autofocus camer and my goodness are the images sharp the camera still seems to overheat or die if u record vidoes longer than 5 minutes in length so work still needs to be done to optimize it..but thats great news !

    its a dev device... shouldnt have fancies... if it does i'll RMA my 9930 and tell them to fix the auto focus...

    Hardware auto-focus is definitely there. You can hear the sensor adjust when switching between the still camera and video capture modes.

    Auto-focus is hardly fancy lol. There's hardly any phones without it.

    The final camera should be 12 or 16mp's so that BB can nail the camera job.
    I know it is not all about pixels, but guess what? Majority of the consumers think that way.

    That's certainly GREAT news! Can you confirm it can horse through a larger email then the previous BB's?
    ...I'm talking about truncated email.
    A reluctant iPhone 4s user who would STILL be a Blackberry user had RIM not messed it's own bed by putting a "Fisher Price Camera" in it's "flagship" Blackberry Bold 9930.

    I really hope bb10 phones will have auto focus. It doesn't really bother me at this point in time, but it would if it shipped without autofocus.

    Good to know that RIM has not left things to chance with the camera.

    Lord knows the nay-sayers and critics were all over the 99XX phones for that, as if that was the PRIMARY function of the phone.

    As if an auto-focus camera defines a phone worth and ALL you can do with it. Yeesh.....

    Same as the PlayBook.
    16:9 = 3.5mp on the PlayBook
    4:3 = 5mp on the PlayBook

    try 4:3 and check then.
