Has anyone tried BBM Voice or BBM Video?
I have the z10 fw posted running in my Dev A, I can see while on a call the option to use BBM Video (much like Facetime) and while chatting in BBM, I can see some of my contacts have the option to BBM Voice however when trying gives an error that is like unavailable or something.
If anyone wants to test this, here is my BB PIN: 2A098FEF - 02-06-2013, 03:11 PM #2
I've tried BBM voice with my own bb9900 and it works. Also tried bbm video with my playbook. and that also works.

Very good to know, thanks!
EDIT:
One thing I saw the other day is that in a test phone call, there was little logo saying HD Voice Call or something like that, call quality was superb, like with noise cancellation and that. I was pretty amazed. - 02-07-2013, 10:48 AM #6

I tried calling from my PlayBook and calling from my bold 9900 to the dev alpha with BB10, and all work great.

Called a friend and used screen sharing, worked fine despite slow WiFi.

Love BBM Video I got BB10 for Me & My Girl & use video with our play books as well It is Sooooo Coooool that we can use Sign Language & not have to type But 1 Big Problem with BB10 is the Notifiers for BBM & Text Msg & E-Mail all only have 1 little BUZZ for Vibrate & that is NOT GOOD for Deaf So I`m hoping someone can make update or app to fix that Because the combined Deaf community makes up for alot of Blackberrys.

hi fbloise,
i just added u on BBM ,, i have the same problem ,,, i am on wifi and using a fast 2 MB DSL connection , the green icon sometimes shows up quickly and sometimes doesnt show at all, alot of my friends have either BBM7 or BBM10 installed but still i get this error ,, also i just noticed that the green icon is showing after a delay of 20 to 25 seconds , though i am able to use other services on wifi ,, can u or anyone help me? is it still in the teething stages or is that the problem in my connection? thanks.

Now that I have a Z10, I've tried this lots of times, I can confirm I was able to make BBM Video and BBM Voice calls through my network provider (Vodafone) so it doesn't need Wifi like BBM Voice for BB OS 5, 6 & 7.

yeah, since rocking the Z10 i am connected all the way through both the BBM voice & video anytime anywhere through the mobile network or wifi. the call quality is good, the video quality is reasonably good as well. good job BBRY but.. yeah, perhaps a tweak is needed as sometimes I can't see my friends are online but they can see me, hence they can call me but i can't. so weird ha?

I use BBM voice and video. I have found it much more reliable then Skype in low bandwidth situations.
