I was just playing around with my Dev Alpha C and noticed that when I removed the batter cover, the shape of the unit looks very similar to the final production build. Looks like they've added the squarish corners for the Alpha units. Kinda cool.

Very similar to what they did for the Dev B.

I always took the back of the Dev Alpha B and showed people what the z10 would look like. When I got my Z10 LE and used my client's Dev alpha B it was almost exactly the same size.
Boys. You're holding a Q10 now. Enjoy it.
I would guess that also explains the reason for the rubber pad on the back of the battery.
I was thinking that was because the production phone will come with a 2100 mah battery that's thicker.

The battery the dev c came with is the 2100mah. The pad is because the q10 will be a bit skinnier.

My Dev C comes with a 1800mah battery. Just checked and confirmed.

I thought I read 2100 on mine. I guess not. I'll double check when I get home.
Mine has an 1800 mAh battery as well
The top plastic piece fell off on mine. Beneath it is a BlackBerry logo/Q10 top. It seems they literally put an ugly plastic cover on the Q10.
Picture? :)
OMG did they actually give us a Q10.... :)
Cool! I just removed that piece from my Dev Alpha C... I was having trouble doing swipes down from the top bezel, that piece was getting in the way. Much easier now.

I think they are giving us a Q10
You might as well disassemble the whole phone. Then say "guys this is the new Q10 with a smaller battery and plastic keyboard".

Instead of a trade-in for a production Q10, they can just send us a production housing kit :P

They would send us a pdf on how to remove the mould!
:P
Yeah i hope this is the case.....
And too whoever has it, is it 4G?
Are you taking in apart?
And is it 4G?
No, it's a chisel for someone else to use so that I can find out if taking it apart will destroy it or not. Yes, it is 4G.
oh and If its 4G then we must be sure its a Q10 :)
Nice pun Sir! :rotfl:
sorry, NDA
