    Default Browser questions

How does the browser on the alpha device compare to the playbook?

Does the alpha device support flash?

Does it have score better than the playbook in the html5 scoring?

Does it load sites quicker or have less checkerboarding?

The Browser is gimped. It isn't like the PlayBook. Mine loads the mobile version of bing and Google and bgr and crackberry. Also, you can't access the history or settings. At least if u can I can't figure out how. We need a bar for the playbook browser.

Yes it does, but it also always loads the mobile version of websites and only plays certain embedded YouTube videos. It has a great browser that is being handicapped.

What is the user agent for the browser --- might be why it goes to the mobile website.

User agent is "Mozilla/5.0 (BlackBerry) AppleWebKit/536.2+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/10.0.4.197 Mobile Safari/536.2+"

If you check out The Verge website you will see that they load their website during their hands-on. Might be a good one to load/compare to the PLaybook.

Website looks at the word Blackberry and also identifies as a "mobile safari" and going to serve you the mobile website.
