I'm kinda shocked that they went with Red for a developer only, limited edition device. Why didn't they release Red for any consumer that wants it, and make the LE a more obscure color? Seems like that would make more sense for them to do.

But oh well, I'm happy I'll be rocking a Red Z10 sometime soon. Hopefully they hurry up with the shipping, since they already handed them out to folks in Amsterdam.

Don't be disappointed, if you qualify, you are getting a real device for free, plus it's stamped with a unique number etc..

I thought so too but other images, like the ones in this gallery below, show a deeper red. The orange look seems to be a byproduct of the excess grey backgrounding on the taken photos and the need of all digital cameras to try overcompensate for the levels of grey.

TLDR? I think the real color is a purer, deeper red instead of the orange pictured in some photos.

Wonder if the red is the reason Verizon Wireless wouldn't play ball with BlackBerry on the LE device? Oh well, I'm getting a Z10 for free even if it won't be 'Limited Edition', I'm more than happy with that!
