Has anyone tried this update on the DAC? It is the last update for the Q10.

    Thanks!

The DAC has identical hardware to a normal Q10, so no reason for it to perform any differently.

    You're sure you've installed the Q10 version?

BlackBerry always makes at least one wrong compromise when designing a device. This year, it's the oled screen of the Q10

I have the 10.1.0.1483 update and the battery draining very fast (less than 24 hours, hopefully).

The 10.1.0.1720 update resolves this problem?

    Thanks!

I installed OS 10.1.0.1720 for the Q10 using the provided autoloader in the forums. The autoloader file that I downloaded was called "10.1.0.273-Q10.exe", that is the file you should use for the latest update. However, my DAC is a SQN100-3. If yours is different, it might not (probably won't) work.

My battery was also empty in a few hours on 10.1.0.1483 and the device became pretty warm too. The latest update seems to do a lot better. But I don't know whether it was the OS that caused the battery drain. It could also be the result of some setting that is now different. I remember that this time I unchecked "sharing diagnostics with BlackBerry/RIM" when setting up the device.

Good luck, make a backup, and be patient.

I have updated with sachup to build 1720 and it's working fine. Just had to delete my learned words from the dictionary to get auto-correct working again.
If you use an autolader you have to backup your files and restore them after flashing, if you use sachup your data will be retained, although it's always wise to have a backup in case something goes wrong.
