Its certainly does feel buggier than 10.0.04, but they also now have a lot more of the APIs developed. However, I do kinda which they'd give us some patch updates along the way to our next big drop. (Though I don't actually expect that.)

Some of our Dev Alpha's also experienced a period that where it would not get out of reboot. After 1 hour my Dev Alpha was still "rebooting" even the animation was going on but I decided to do a debrick and that seems to have fixed everything.

I'm not too impressed with this build. It has cut my apps performance in HALF.

It seems that 10.0.6 is BB10 with a PlayBook ui, rather than 2.1 with some BB10 APIs.
So expect it to be somewhat buggy.

on a positive note, I found many benefits to the new build, the app navigation is much smoother transitions, boot time is much quicker and the fact that they only reload changed assets/src files is terrific, a big improvement there. I know getting it to work was a hassle and I cannot believe they did not try it first enough to notice the problems but the improvements are notable and we're on track.

I found it was quite slow also until I security wiped it. Have you tried that? After I did that, my app performance has been just fine.

I hope they fix the upgrade problems before release. You can't expect end users to security wipe their phones as each upgrade comes out. Especially when they boast about how QNX will allow them to upgrade the OS without even killing apps! I'd be happy if they can get to the point where it is a simple reboot instead of a complete wipe each time.

I security wiped, but I can't get past the wifi setup screen. When I select a wifi network, it just gets highlighted, and nothing else. It refuses to work.

Try to reload your DevAlpha with the desktop software when it boots up, looks like security wiping is still broken.
    BB PlayBook | BB Z10 LE | BB DevAlpha C | Nokia 808 PureView
My Apps: Alpintouren (coming soon) | GPSTools | GPSInfo | GPSInfo for PlayBook

Spoke too soon. None of my apps loaded up this morning so I restarted it. Now it's stuck on the main screen. I tried 5 times already but no luck. I need to reinstall it I guess. This blows. Any way of going to the older, more stable OS?

    Yeah,

Other than the fact that 10.0.6: doesn't lock up every 5 minutes, is way more stable, gps works instantly, includes more api's, more features, etc... it sucks

Seriously, if it seems slower than 10.0.4, just debrick it. When you upgrade, unfortunately, some things get "hosed" and causes it to run poorly. When I did the upgrade, I noticed that it took 8 minutes to boot up.
When I debricked, The boot time went back to just over 2 minutes. (actually, I noticed that the Dev Alpha reverted back to 10.0.4 during this period. That's when I decided to debrick.)

Going back to 10.0.04 isn't going to do you any favours, because when they finally release BB 10 at version 10.1.X.XXX it won't be compatible with your code from 10.0.04

I could never understand why developers would come here and complain when they have people at RIM "waiting" to hear about problems like this

Where can I find more info on debricking it?

Edit: nevermind. this device is nuked. It repaired halfway and lost connection. Now desktop software is asking me to enter the password on the device but device doesn't pass main screen
