I love my new z10 its amazing. the only thing i can fault is the facebook message notifications! i don't get any, the only way to know is to open up the actual fb app. anyone know how to solve this or any good alternative app that i can use facebook chat on? I would really appreciate it

I remember back way before the launch Rim demoed Facebook along with a guy from Facebook. The apps was supposed to be built by Facebook. Im reading in many reviews of the Z10 that BlackBerry built the app and Facebook had nothing to do with it....what gives?

This should not be. I dont need an app for notifications on any legacy os device so I really hope they fix this. Facebook were you at??? They were supposed to be on board...is the current app just to hold one over until something better comes from FB?

Yeah I sideloaded the Facebook messenger app from Android and it's the same, no notifications

i seem to get message notifications perfectly, on the lockscreen and in the hub. The app itself is very basic and replying to messages within the hub is slow and glitchy, it certainly will get better and hopefully more advanced too.

No, the app was always 1st-party, they just had Facebook support to the level they had someone from the social media giant to come help present.

No problem here, get notifications, and FB chat is integrated in the Hub, hit compose then FB, and viola its FB chat
