I'm not complaining.

I'm just curious since the playbook and legacy BlackBerry devices using BlackBerry bridge almost accomplish as much as blend but using older operative systems and hardware.

I've read two suggested reasons:

1. Bluetooth just isn't fast enough for what blend wants to be and do

2. It really isn't as secure as it needs to be when transferring data.

I can't comment on the second but having transferred large files with bluetooth via bridge on playbook and blend over wifi (separate networks) the wifi/internet solution is really very much faster.
