Since we the users of Crackberry are the ones developing the apps you were definitely correct in asking us where they are and why they are behind your personal schedule.

    You're right.

Well, at least for Whatsapp you can try OpenWhatsapp (Say hello to OpenWhatsapp - the WhatsApp alternative | CrackBerry.com) already available for download. I can say it's a very fast and stable app.

While I don't know where the apps are, I know potential answers can be found in 100s of other threads.

    It's called "Search", use it.

You should consider asking this question to the guy who told you it is coming on Monday, taking in consideration that Blackberry officially announced that it is coming this week.

How ignorant can you be? To make push notifications work, you need to run a server 24/7, and if you don't own Whatsapp, you have to get their permission to relay notifications from their servers to your user. That's why OpenWhatsapp doesn't support push notifications when the app isn't running. Get your facts straight...

Sideload whatsapp, I have absolutely no problems with it. i get notifications when it's closed. Personally I didn't like openwhatsapp so ideleted it. As for waiting for the official... hahaha you are setting yourself up for a painful week. Kinda like the week before the launch of z10. Sucked if you had been following the leaks because everyone was hoping not everything was leaked... and we got.. a singer.. sigh!!!
I also use m.facebook.com and m.canoe.ca and pretty much have found a solution for most of the missing stuff.

Log off CB now, go for a walk.. and well see you next Monday in amongst the 1000threads about whatsapp

    Don't waste ur days waiting

Didn't mean to thank your post. (Miss hit on the app, fixed my error)
As to your post? It's wrong.

No app, except those developed with the help of BlackBerry, have access to full push notifications. Aka, the app must be open for you to see an incoming message. Current Dev tools don't have full access to the Hub. Yet.

The official, native version of WhatsApp will as BlackBerry has given them the proper tools.

    Get your facts straight.

This is why ppl should stop speculating the actual date when it will be available. Because when that date comes... thats right everyone will be disappointed as usual by a false promise. Be patient. When it comes out it comes out.
