I did the upgrade... it didnt solve my missing contact names... i uninstalled it again and then reinstalled it then it seems like its fixed


But then again ive been doing that for the last few days now anyway to fix it.. will see if its permanent now

What constitutes "better"? It's great as it is. It's amalgamated in Hub. And the alert of new WhatsApp messages appear in Notifications. When you wish to clean up your Hub, you can, without interfering with your messages in WhatsApp itself.

i recently added a new contact to my phone and whatsapp is not picking up her name. i even got her to send me a msg through whatsapp and it just shows her number.

also we can now share to whatsapp

For the people who have the issue where you can't see some contacts names just their numbers:

Go to your actual contact, and click add to sim.

Then go to whatsapp and refresh both contacts and favs. I just did this and it worked for me.

Hmmm...you could go to hub settings > hub management, and exclude "Notifications," but that would also affect app updates and notifications from other apps. hopefully, they'll make whatsapp a separate section in the hub with its own icon soon.

Hmm well after updating my whatsapp to the latest version, i dont see any option to share ie in my pics/video folder if i press on share, whatsapp doesnt show up...

Am gonna delete and re-install and see if that fixes it.

EDIT: Ok deleting and re-installing whatsapp has finally fixed the share option, i now see it in my share options.

Anyone notice their battery life suffering since installing whatsapp?

I have ran this for about a week or so, installed the update as well and I am all but certain that this app has resulted in the loss of a couple of hours of battery life per charge cycle.

I'm not a heavy user of this app either... frankly I'm not sure what all the fuss is about for most people, in the days of unlimited messaging plans. Perhaps people are keeping in touch internationally, but aside from that?

I actually just deleted the app to see if my battery life improves.

Not everyone in the world has unlimited texting in their phone plans, that's why it is so popular in all the countries that don't.
