    So my Whatsapp randomly started giving me notification for both a Whatsapp message, as well as a text message, any time I receive a new Whatsapp message. When I get a Whatsapp message, everything appears to work properly, but then I also get a spark in the Hub for text messages. But, the sound I have set for my texts doesn't go off, and going into the text messages, there is nothing there.

    IRRITATING!

    I have: restarted the device, restarted the Hub, deleted every single text message and deleted and reinstalled Whatsapp. If it continues, I'm getting rid of it. Anyone else have this issue?

    Hrmm.. it's difficult to trouble shoot when I'm not able to replicate the problem, but I'll reach out to the rest of the team and see if anyone else has come across this.

    I use Whatsapp daily and I don't seem to have this problem. However I use be buzz to notify me and I have all regular notifications turned off. Do you use hub++ or be buzz??

    Happened to me too but with bbm. I deleted all bbm and whatsapp messages. And resynced my contacts.

    Ok so it appears to have been a Hub issue and not Whatsapp. It started with only my WA messages though and then started with BBM as well. Did a wipe and appears to be gone, but really weird. Hadn't heard of this issue on any of the CB forums at all. Sorry to the devs if they were trying to figure something out, was only Whatsapp that was affected to start.

    Yeah unfortunately. Ridiculous that it is considered a 'fix' so often, including on BB10 - should have been made a thing of the past.
