I know it can be downloaded for free, but after a year of use, you have to pay 0,89? (0.99$) to keep the service.
I was sure that by the end of this month (February) I'll have to pay to keep Whatsapp, but when I checked 2 days ago, my licence has been extended until next year, and I didn't pay anything at all!!



Does anyone know anything about this?

What's App didn't release for bb10 until around about April, May.. so you couldn't have downloaded it in February that might be why it hasn't expired yet.. why it says next year though, I don't know! Lucky you!

Yes! But I've used the same phone number for the past 5 years, and when Whatsapp became payant I was using a Bold 9900.
When I activated whatsapp in my Z10, for the first time, it said I had 8 months left or so, now I have another year to go! XD

I'm sure it's Free! Mine was due to expire very soon and I've just checked and mines also been extended, it now expires on 15th March 2015.

It's good, because I'd have stopped using it (don't use it very much) if it had expired.
