Unable install in PassportSQW100-1/10.3.3.746. Installation stuck during initializing for unlimited time. Any solution to this? Thank you

As you can read in various other threads, WA is NOT compatible with 10.3.3.746 which is a DEV OS. WA will be compatible with the final version of 10.3.3

Thank you guys for this thread.......I downloaded WhatsApp from beta, downloaded the Waa fixer and now am exporting to android, then what? Can someone be very specific as to what the exact next steps including how to save on my internal storage on the priv, where to find it/? Then where should I download WhatsApp from on my new priv? Beta again? Waa fixer also? And will my conversations automatically restore or are there any steps I need to take? Thanks so much!!!
This is how i did it for my Android phone :
After exporting to your SD card, put the card into your priv, you will need a file explorer type app to look at the files on the SD card.

Look for the folder on your SD card named "Whatsapp". It will be the one which has 3 folders inside (depending on your backup settings) named "backups", "databases", "media".

Copy the entire folder into your phone's internal storage(again, need a file explorer type app).

Download WhatsApp, (note:must be fresh install as in opening the app for the first time since installation) setup your phone number/acct details as required, and the app will prompt on whether you want to restore from a backup. Click yes and follow through, everything (conversations, media) should be there.

    Hope this helps.

Is there going to be an addition of functionality to opt out of the data collection for ads which was recently announced?

Yeah, I was also looking for that opt-out from today's update.

Does the android version prompt for opt-out upon installation?

If so, maybe the work-around is to install the android version, opt-out so that the decision is logged against your phone number, then go back to using the BB10 version until it sunsets in Dec.

Why are they even bothering with updates and beta versions if they're killing the app in a couple months. Seems rather asinine.

Current beta is exactly the same as the BlackBerry World version. They stated that in Beta Zone.

I think he was referring about updating the app as a whole.
Not the one in native or beta in particular since WhatsApp will stop working come year end.

I think the latest update supposed to have the new terms and conditions and an opt out option from being linked to Facebook.
But some above mentioned there's no such option.
Which causes some of us hesitation from updating the app.

I would expect them to keep issuing updates for all platforms, until the end of the year (2016) when they pull the plug on supporting BlackBerry.

Won't you banned if you do this? I mean move from one platform to other platform?

The previous BlackBerry World release (2.16.58) was due to expire in October. This update (2.16.66) was necessary, as I'm pretty sure users want to be able to continue using the app until the end of the calendar year.

There were also a few minor changes and fixes, but nothing that represents a serious investment of development effort.

Hi dkonisberg. How do we opt out from the facebook option on BB10?
Is this option available in the latest release?

Well a server side block is possible, it's easy enough to identify the ART, it's all up to WhatsApp

BlackBerry users won't get the chance to opt out of sharing data with Facebook and it's group of companies?
I don't have WhatsApp installed on my phone right but didn't delete my account either
I'll install the app again in mid November, so WhatsApp will automatically share all my info?

Why do they plan on canceling WA for BB10 on Dec 31 but Symbian on Jan 18, even though BB10's marketshare is bigger than Symbian's at this point?

    That's the only way out
