The latest faux pas from Westjet is that they seem to have blocked getting their latest Android APK from Google play if you are on a BB10 device (tried both the z10 and the Leap). In the Westjet release notes dated May 13 2015 there is a very short list of optimized devices (whatever that means) Galaxy S3,4,5 and Nexus 5. I had WJ version 1.0.0.26 on my z10 and now there is a warning that this version will soon be out of date. I managed to get a 1.0.0.27 apk from somewhere out on the net (a bit dangerous but it installed and works OK). None of WJ's airline peers that I deal with (Easyjet, United, Air Canada) are that paranoid about their mobile application -- they all run just fine on my BB10 devices. Seems as though someone in WJ's IT department is operating without any kind of PR filter. I lived in Calgary for many years and was always a fervent WJ supporter but they seem to have lost their way of late (maybe post Clive Beddoes?)
