I noticed today that the Weather Channel app gives different weather reports depending on whether you are using the app or the website.

The two screenshot were taken within minutes of each other (between 3:55pm and 3:57pm). I made sure to "refresh / reload" both just before capturing the screenshots:

    Anyone else get this discrepancy?

The web weather reported on the Web is much more accurate BTW (it's super hot and muggy outside now).

YES! I noticed this. It's the same for the app in iOS and Android. The app and the web app show different information.

Might the app be pulling in a more local weather reporting station (using gps or cell location), whereas the Web shows the more generic Main City reporting station?

In this case, the web page was showing more accurate information. People were in shorts and sweating outside, definitely didn't "feel like" 20C (68F).

Speaking of the weather channel app..
Is it ever going to receive an update? This app could be awesome with a little polishing. Maybe they aren't supporting it anymore..

Well, from what I've seen, if you have been through a Canadian winter, you probably are in shorts and sweating at 68F!:-D
