Just downloaded it. Seems good. I think BlackBerry Maps has got a bad press - it's very clear and precise - but it does seem to lack many points of interests, shops, stations and so on. Waze has lots more. I was just really sad and used it to 'navigate' from work to the station on foot. Picked up all the shops & stations I entered along the way. And free. Wish all Android ports were as user friendly!

Wahoo, I've been hoping for this. Now all I need is a Call Blocking app and I'll be a happy user.

A shining example of how good / seamless an android port can run....runs, looks great and functions perfectly! Very neat app!

Indeed it is. One small fault, I think. The max zoom is quite far. I'm sure it won't cause much of an issue most of the time, but sometimes it's nice to zoom in quite close if you're approaching an awkward junction or similar.

We used to be able to add friends or invite friends through email, now you can only do this through Facebook I don't use facebook.

Also, I left it running while I was eating and my phone got extremely hot ! Shut it off and phone came back to normal, uninstalling right now.

It froze on my z10 after registration and my Device restarts itself. Second try, also froze, I need to shut down my device via the lock button. When it froze, I'm unable to do anything, I even tried to swipe up for the home screen but nothing happen. Anybody experiencing this?

This is one of the best ports that I've seen. It's great, very smooth.

Sent an email to Waze early Dec last year asking about BB10 support and they only got back to me today with this message . . .
    Hi,
We just uploaded a version today to the BB World for BB 10 and would be grateful for feedback as it is the first attempt at porting it to the new platform and I assume there are issues that will need be addressed.

Did you guys actually use it? Sent Waze feedback - the app is pretty useless on the Z10. First app which manages to completely crash the phone and I have to power cycle. The app gets stuck most of the time when using in navigation. For me its completely unusable.

Agree with previous posts. Has to be the best Android port I've used so far. As smooth as a native app.

Used it for my trip home from work yesterday and haven't had any freezing issues.

Froze my Z10 as well and I have been communicationg with their support department and will post any worthwile updates. Essentially, it seems to track me fine in the Waze home screen but as soon as I use it for nav, it fails to get a GPS lock and freezes my phone. The only way to recover was to do a battery pull. I hope Waze can sort this out as I love their product.

Yep, freezing here too. Doesn't jam the phone, but never finds a signal for navigation. Shame, as graphically, I thought it looked pretty good.

I've bitten the bullet and paid for Wisepilot. Mireo completely screwed my phone up by crashing and going haywire, and BB maps is nice, but just doesn't find the places you need without Googling and finding a specific postcode every time. Wisepilot does have one drawback, as it doesn't announce road names, but, it gets you there, finds every POI and is very simple to use whilst on the go.

Try setting ur map to 2d instead of 3d. After setting to 2d map, the freezing problem seems gone.

Hey, it works so far. No more freezing. Thanks buddy! I'll try to use the navigation later and update how it goes.

Cheers for that, but I'd rather have a fully functional app. If 2D was enough, I'd sideload Google Maps.

Confirmed! Change your map to 2D and your device won't freeze when you are on the app. Navigation works fine. Just tested it. Google map is another good alternative, but does it have reports of traffics, accidents and etc. Like waze? Never actually try Google map to navigate before.

Yeah, as I said, point taken. But if I DL a turn by turn 3D Sat Nav., the 2D doesn't cut it for me when there's alternatives.

    Hi all.
Just want to say, I love waze on my android and used it all the time. So far waze on my Z10 is 0 for 2. Used it twice and got me the wrong address and lost. Guess I'll try it again.
