Default Vote for Endomondo BB10 App

    Hi all,

One of the apps many people use on current Blackberry devices is Endomondo. This is an amazing app that tracks running, biking, etc using GPS. At the moment there doesn't appear to be any plans for a Blackberry 10 app (not confirmed, but no evidence that I can find).

If you've used this app and like it, please vote for it on their forums in the following two links:

Thanks, hope to see this one on BB10!

i might be mistaken, but i think in the Jam session in Singapore, they played a short video highlights of jam sessions around the world, and i caught a glimpse of an app demo by endomondo on BB10, and it looks pretty much like the app on other platforms. I might be wrong though.

Is there an update on Endomondo or has anyone been able to port it over? I saw somewhere on Twitter that they *may* support BB10 but I also saw a PR release from RIM saying Endomondo is on board. I only use 2-3 third party apps and this is one that I constantly use during the warmer weather. I really want to get a Z10 next week but may hold off until this is released.

From this article at Developers excited over BlackBerry 10 platform | ArabNews It is quoted:

"BlackBerry's influence remains a worldwide phenomenon, which matches Endomondo's reach," said Endomondo co-founder Mette Lykke.
"With 8 million users around the globe, including many BlackBerry devotees, Endomondo recognizes the value of supplying BlackBerry 10 users with access to the capabilities of the mobile Endomondo Sports Tracker and social fitness network."

Now if they would just hurry that would be great.

Endo's silence on this matter speaks volumes. They"re abandoning BB. Good ridance. Just as SMap didn't make the jump from OS5 and others took its place so will new better tools supplant Endo in the OS10 environment.

    Just go out and ride.

We got silence from Skype and Amazon. Your argument is moot. Their silence means they didn't say anything.

Their response speaks volumes. They said not right now.

I also used endomondo regularly and have a lot of running data invested with them. I asked them for a BB10 app and they gave me the usual "Not Now" answer. Disappointing. I also used runtastic app in the past which functioned similarly and had a social community aspect as well, but they're not on BB10 either. Oh well I guess we'll need for wait until BlackBerry critical mass is achieved.

If you simply want to track a run with your GPS, map it and get your workout stats then you may want to try an app called sports tracker. Seems to fit that bill anyway.
