This is all garbage. Why do I have to hunt through pages of this developers crap to find new apps? We need to be able to filter or block developers on our devices to avoid seeing this crap.

Useless Apps, can they be blocked?-img_00001089.jpg

A "block" option for certain developers would definitely be sweet. Doubt we will ever see that though

There is a filter feature, however it's not the greatest, but if you scroll all the way up and past some, like in the CB10 app to quick change pages, there is a filter option

Hi Kris, can you give me a little more detail on this? Not following exactly how this is achieved, thanks!

Yes, a way to block this developers hundreds of useless apps would be fantastic. Why is this guy allowed to spam the App World like this?

I was referring to the filter though, haha. Yeah, I don't know about the apps though. Clearly BlackBerry thought they were OK to sell. A real filter would definitely be a nice addition to BBWorld

I'm not seeing it. Running the new 10.2.0.1323 leak. I've scrolled through the new arrivals list for a few hundred pages, I don't see a hidden filter addition show up. Can you send a screen cap?

It is really annoying how much crap you have to scroll through at times, would love to be able to block specific developers, I think it's a great idea.

With regards to the filters, I don't think it works in the lists such as 'New Arrivals', think they only appear if you go into specific categories, like Applications and then Business category.

What about just a locality feature? There should be enough backend support to filtre app results so that they're more relevant to where you live. If you're in Omaha Nebraska, or Washington DC, offline maps of Nigeria and SMS and taxi apps for Jakarta really don''t do you much good for the most part. This also helps the developers to get their apps in front of the right people, after all how many one star reviews are there for apps that are US only from overseas users, and vice versa?

If there was a way you could filter through the apps you already have when searching App World.

When I go thru the top apps I still have to zip thru the ones already downloaded.

I agree. The maps being posted that have terrible ratings should be stopped. Sick of looking for new apps and seeing nothing but those dam maps!

Hopefully somebody from BlackBerry reads this. Is hurts sales of the good apps that remain unnoticed because of this map apps junk.

But then they wouldn't be able to claim such a high app count...maps,wallpapers, ebooks...
