    Hi. The scheduled backup is not working for me. I am using box. It notifies me that the backup is in progress but there is nothing in the cloud. It does save a folder with sms and mms backup in downloads folder though.

    Please upgrade at that time by deleting the app and installing it from BlackBerry World.

    Hi,

    Please check once if the access to Contacts and shared files is given to the application.(Turn all all permissions for proper functionality.)
    Please check from Settings –> Security & Privacy –> Application Permissions->Ultimate Backup

    After this, Please try to take the backup again and then try restoring from the new zip file.If you face issue after this, please try to delete the app and install again from the BlackBerry World.

    You can also unzip the file using the file manager of BlackBerry 10 and tap on the vcf file to restore contacts.

    I think the problem is the first letter of "Şubat" in the filename, which means February. I couldn't unzip with WinRAR on PC also. I did it by using 7-Zip. IMO the non-English characters in the filename is the problem.

    Hi,

    If you are restoring to new mobile, we recommend to turn off "skip duplicate contacts during restore" option from settings.

    For now, the easiest method would be to do below :

    a) From application -> Tabs -> Contacts -> Select menu option "Delete All Contacts"

    b) Restart the phone once all contacts are deleted.

    c) The backup process creates a Zip file.Please unzip the zip file using the file manager of BlackBerry 10.

    d) You will see a VCF file.Tap on it. BlackBerry OS will restore all of the contacts directly from the VCF file.

    Please test the encrypted backup functionality on the SD Card.To do this, please change the storage location to SD Card.

    After this try to backup the files.Let us know if you see the encrypted files after the backup.

    Also, please make sure to give all access permissions to the application.Please check from Settings –> Security & Privacy –> Application Permissions->Ultimate Backup

    I went in the Export Call Logs menu and selected the first option.
    A folder was created, but it's empty.
    Next I tried to backup SMS/MMS.
    This time I've got a 0Kb zip file.

    I looked around and found dated folders and zip files in the Downloads folder containing unencrypted files, so I tried to do a quick backup and got the same result.

    I see a few problems:

    1. Temp files are created in a public folder and could be stolen by any app
    2. The encryption process seems to fail
    3. There is no cleanup process in place.



    As for permissions, they're all enabled, except BBM.
    SQW100 / 10.3.1.2243 / v2.4.5

    Once the password is generated,please try to backup once again.This time backup should succeed and no temp files would be visible.

    OK, just did that and it worked. I can see that you only support a-z0-9 for the encryption passphrase. Would be good to either support the whole keyboard or block characters your algorithm can't handle.

    PIN messages are not supported yet.But we will check this.If it is possible, we would add it in the upcoming releases.
