Need to verify what is needed for Torque to work with Z10 and Playbook-----Z10 obd adapter Bluetooth? Playbook obd adapter wifi or Bluetooth? TNX for help. Pretty sure about Z10, but not about PB adapter. Will be used on Ford and other vehicles.
I have the wifi version of the connector and it works with both the Playbook and the Z10. But I have to admit that I've not done much with it.

I *THINK* that the BT version now works with a Z10 but I don't know if the Playbook app has been updated.

You might ask over the the Playbook forum. Someone there might be more up on the app. Or maybe contact the developer at his support email address.

Unless the new OS changed this, you need wifi and not bluetooth. I did a post with a vendor that I know sells adapters that work. I like the one with the on/off switch on the front, though it costs the most.

I hope you can return the BT adapter.

Guys, tell me how to keep the PB awake while running the app. I don't want to touch the screen every 2-3 min to keep it awake?

Downloaded Torque and it keeps crashing. Z10 with 10.2.1.2102
Doesn't seem to matter whether or not it's paired. BT on BlackBerry sees the OBD II but app keeps crashing even after reinstall.

Anyone know if it is possible to install the plugins for this app? I've got a 2009 Santa Fe, Elm Bluetooth adaptor, Torque Pro, and z10 - would be nice to see the extra Hyundia parameters.

    Ideas???

Just got the ELM327, think through Amazon. Was so excited to try it out but unfortunately doesn't work. The phone connects, the app connects but says it can't communicate with the ECU, "Bad adapter". I know I was taking a risk buying cheap but still disappointed. Anyone else experience this, did you try and return it?

    Thanks

Sad to hear. I just bought one from Amazon and it works fine. I have heard it is a bit of luck of the draw though.

Can I ask, did you pay for shipping back to Hong Kong? It works out to $10-12 for me, only paid $17 for the unit.

I just bought the Excel Obd2 bluetooth scanner from amazon... phone sees it, says it pairs but the app won't connect to it. My brother has an Android phone and it works fine... any suggestions?

Don't actually pair with the device, let Torque "see" it also be sure to have your uconnect or other blutooth devices switched off

Torque shows the mac address of the adapter, but will not connect to it. I tried not pairing it, it still sees it hut won't connect. My brothers android works perfect with it. It must be a security setting or bluetooth issue with the z10 (bb10). When it is trying to connect it says "connecting to obdii, "mac address"" the keeps retrying, so it sees it but won't connect. Any other suggestions? Thx

    Two questions:

    1) On the z10/z30 does torque rotate to landscape?
App description seems to suggest so, but there doesn't appear to be any screenshots to confirm.

    2) any bb10 phone - has anyone had any success with 'torque track recorder' plugin/seperate app to download?
I can get it to open, change the interface about and edit all options but the record button is a devil to actually push. And when I do initiate recording the app crashes and any changes are lost.
Also changes don't save even when I exit without the app crashing.

Landscape images. Seems a bit of the gauges are cut. I have to admit I don't use it. I first acquired it for the Playbook and the z10 version was available for no extra cost.

I've had no problem with the ones from bbworld. I had tried torque from google play before and couldn't get the plugins to work on my z10, but the track recorder from bbworld works fine with torque from bbworld.

I tend to use it in portrait on my phone and landscape on my PlayBook, but if landscape cuts gauges like the post above, I'm pretty sure you can move them around. I know you can move them and scale them on the playbook and in assuming it works the same on the phone.

    Thanks.

Should have said I have a q10 so maybe that's where the root of my track recorder problems lie.

any difference in optimization with the BB port over the android version? Im debating which platform to buy it on. The android version is obviously more up to date, so if its just a direct port i would rather buy the android version. Anyone try both?
