Hey Everyone,

ReFocus Tech have finally given out the long awaited update for their super popular app Tilt

The update to Tilt is a huge surprise from development studio ReFocus Tech.
This is a major update to Tilt covering all of the requested features and changes suggested by users over the last year.

MASSIVE CHANGELOG (v2.2.0.34):

- Complete revamp of the app with better User Experience and interface
- Added ‘Stocks’ Block
- Added ‘Messages’ Block (Shows emails and SMS messages)
- Added Swipe to Refresh on each Block
- Added Custom Priority settings for each Block (High, Medium and Low)
- Added a ‘Themes’ option in Application Menu. Total 13 themes are available
- Added new ‘Squircle’ (by Roger Leblanc) animation on Refresh and Loading
- Added new fade in animation on tilting the device
- Added option to choose the number of Blocks visible. You can display from 4 to 7
blocks, with default 7 blocks being shown
- Added option to Restore In-App Purchases in Settings menu
- Added option to add and remove unlimited number of stocks to follow
- Added option to change Stock Update Interval
- Added option to have Tilt mode Persist on Startup
- Added option to turn off LED Notifications
- Added new highlight animation on updating blocks (Can be disabled in settings)
- Added option for distance (Metric or Imperial)
- Added ‘Crackberry’ as an option in News Feed
- Added new pages in Tutorial to reflect new features
- Added random popup to join ReFocus BBM Channel once in a while
- Active frame adjusted to show the colors from the current theme in Tilt
- Active frame now shows icon on top when frame is longer than wide, and shows
icon to the left when frame is wider than long
- Active frame design tweaked with padding and adjustments
- ActionItem will be on Signature for 10.3+
- Tutorial now has a ‘cancel’ button and is in a Scroll View
- Tapping on ‘Places’ block now shows options to Call place, Show in Maps or Open
in Foursquare
- Tapping on ‘Events’ Block invokes Calendar app as an invokable card
- Tapping on ‘News’ Block invokes reader mode Powered by Readability
- Tapping on ‘Email’ Block invokes default mail or SMS app
- ‘Battery’ Block now displays if your phone is charging
- ‘Weather’ Block icon changes depending on the current weather
- Changed minimum OS version to 10.2 (from 10.0 previously)
- Changes to Temperature setting now reflect in both ‘Weather’ and ‘Battery’ block
- Changed links in the Settings menu to reflect new social profiles, website and email
- Changed default color scheme
- Changed the ‘Help’ menu to reflect new changes and additions
- New app icon
- New icon set for internal icons
- Improved impact on battery and CPU usage (< 0.5% on average)
- Refreshing the app now refreshes almost instantly
- Swiping left on Email block marks that Email as ‘Read’ from Tilt
- Removed useless context menus on long press for all block s
- Removed spacing between blocks
- Removed Time display
- Removed ‘Notes’ Block

I had to delete this app. It is of no use to e living in northern ireland. Example news...it will not allow me to change news to my local news. I'm not interested in stocks, yet it will not allow me to replace it with something else. In conclusion a good app for anyone who likes yahoo news and stocks...but not me.

Hi Masser,

Have you tried going to the settings menu and changing it?
There is an option to set a custom news feed (via RSS)
and you can also add or delete any stocks you want.

Downloaded the update faster than I could read the instructions , so now have two tilts and don't know the difference between them

The new one should have a '2' in it's icon. Use that one

You may keep or delete the older one

Where do you get your stocks code? The Stocks on my country is not on the list (all stocks app on BlackBerry World doesn't have them which is sad) is it possible to choose the source or at least add a source?

I think this is better than the other app that is also on BlackBerry World because of News.

Can you implement viewing of priority emails?

Issues on Passport 10.3.1.1154:

1. Fahrenheit displays out to 15 decimals unnecessarily
2. Not picking up calendar events
3. Custom RSS worked once then not again

Tried restart and redownload to no avail

Need:

1) Option to replace Stocks and Places with ???? Maybe 2nd/3rd newsfeed ( news + CrackBerry! ). Maybe tasks via remember? Not really seeing use for a loop of 4Square locations - maybe others do.

2) loop / swipe for multiple calendar events (maybe next 5? )

Hi puneet when I tap on news all I can see is yahoo news ticked. Everything below is darkened out. Can you explain please how I change to custom and add my own local news feed plus do same with the other items that does not apply to UK or Northern Ireland?

As some others have said a Foursquare loop of places isn't that useful to be honest. If that block could be replaced with maybe a second News Feed (along with the Stocks block) that would make the app more helpful for me (and probably a lot others)

Though I do see how you can rearrange the blocks in terms of priority, it is by far perfect. Something similar to the way we rearrange songs on a playlist, in the Music Player, would be a lot more practical!



It would be cool if we could just use the 7 block for different news feeds, or maybe three blocks for messages, and four for news feeds; maybe four blocks for the calendar, and the remaining three for messages, news feeds, battery. Customizability, is indeed missing in that front.

The weather block displays the current weather, right? Though it is useful, it isn't as much as it could be, I mean, how many times a day you want to check the exact temperature? You can generally sense it by yourself. What would be more useful, is a forecast for the next few hours, and maybe, if snow or rain is expected, changing the priority of the weather block automatically to high.

reddit feeds from the frontpage would also be cool, but I guess that could be somehow done with RSS Feeds.

A bit of tutorials for the general user on how custom feeds work would be nice, also explaining how powerful RSS feeds are (you could have feeds from your favorite news site, blog, tumblr, or even an specific twitter account, if I'm not mistaken)

Is a mirror mode going to be added?

Overall, the app looks gorgeous and I hope we can find ways to actually make it useful!

I left it on for 1.5 hour, played with settings and then occasionally looked in.
1.5 hour = 1% according to device monitor.

It should be possible to replace Foursquare and stocks with more feeds from news agencies or forums or maybe top post for a subreddit..

To get rid of Stocks, set its priority to L by swiping right on the Stocks block. Then in settjngs change Number of Blocks visible to 6.

Sorry but I consider that a very good battery impact. Your expectations seem to be a bit too high.
