app generators, I heard they are generated using Adobe Air but not sure.

There is a loophole in the app validation process, so these don't even have to be validated.

They're air apps? Does that mean they'll ALL be gone/unavailable after the BB 10.3.1 update? That would be absolutely wonderful.

ive seen this posted before "blackberry now has more apps than any platform out there, the best of android apps and blackberry world." but on a more serious note, Blackberry has to remove that trash from the appstore. Trash flooding the app store hides any valuable useful apps and pretty much would turn people away from actually perusing it

They should really do a spring cleaning of that app store and change the rating system. Basically start everything over.

Can't wait for the Z3 to be released, then thousands of Indonesians with perhaps limited English go into BBW and spend money on fake Netflix, snapchat, kakao talk etc. That will really boost BlackBerry's popularity. Ugh.

The graph seem to confirm my observation, mess started on Monday/Tuesday. That's a huge hit to Effetica's ranking position, like they changed the order to reverse. Like in other thread someone posted "I smell conspiracy"

Who the heck would be buying these scam apps? Surely people are smarter than that..

It's getting just more and more, and I think the ones who make these apps asks couple of their friends to purchase the apps and put random high reviews. So when an average stupid user comes and sees the 5 star rating, he will go blindly and buys the app thinking it's actually something.

I just don't know how BlackBerry let some of them to use legit screenshots from the real app!! happened with Viber as shown in this thread http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...thingy-922127/

If you read their reviews all 5 stars are from the same the users. I think a few of the App for XXX devs is the same guy. Like KingVendor

I do agree I saw couple of times similar behaviour in BlackBerry World, but to date it was rather fast recovering to normal (usually within few hours). Of course it can depend on region.

Now it seems BBW is back to normal at least as it's seen from The Netherlands

We, too, are seeing this mess since Monday. Rankings seem to be reversed. BeMaps, BeWeather and BeBuzz all used to be within the top 20 apps. Now according to Distimo all three are past #250,000
