I know that Skype Preview sucks on the Z10 (Skype to Skype is fine but Skype to mobile drops the call every time). But I was at least expecting it to work over a cell network like it says in the description. When I try to use it over T-Mobile, I get an error message saying "Cannot connect to Skype...check your mobile network connections." WiFi works fine given the caveats above. Anyone having any issues like this on T-Mobile or other networks?

I don't use Skype (downloaded it once, then deleted it), but I just got this notification:

Turn off your wifi and do hard reboot by pressing vol +/- until your device off and sign in again using cellular turn off your wifi

Got the same message and signed up for the free 3 months. That is when I discovered the problem with T-Mobile.

Perhaps if BlackBerry ever gets the cross-platform version of BBM working and out there you won't need Skype.

I just deleted Skype on my Z10.

That app is very buggy. I realize it was the source of battery drain.

If you open it and would like to close it "completely", make sure you log out. But even after closing, the system goes crazy afterwards. Your phone will probably get very hot as well. Download "Taskmanager" if you must to kill of hidden android ports that are still running.

I wouldn't recommend getting Skype but it does work!
