Since I got my Z30, reading and browsing websites at night got slightly more painful to my eyes at night as on my Z10. My brother showed me an app he uses on his Note that dims the screen even more, however it does not work.

Is there the possibility to crate such an app? Preferably headless. I believe quite a few people would pay for it...

Ah, I know what you mean
Friend showed me one too a couple of days back. That one was called blue light filter. Works great on the eyes at night and I would definitely pay for one if it could be done with a native, headless BlackBerry 10 app

You know you can set the brightness control in the Quick Settings?

You could just set the brightness level in the Quick Settings.

Sorry for the double post, the CrackBerry app is having issues.

Yes, it is still brightish. Not sure how you could run an app over another, unless headless app could adjust the display.

Android can do it.... I was thinking about running it headless.... but I don't know if the right API exists... I just using the lowest brightness setting except watching films

It seems that Android screen filters only work within an Android Active Frame, not with BB10 native frames or screens.

Are there any good news regarding such an app? I use Screen Filter every night with android phones, and it would be great to have such an app with Blackberry!

I would assume that the only way to do it would be to create an app to run another app inside of. Sort of like how Work Wide does.

For now, making a request on BlackBerry Support would be the route to get it change.

    Hey guys,

may be a bit late but I have some nice app for you. I am using the Eye Shield app every night when I talk to my girlfriend (lives in another time zone). It really neat!

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...yeshield&hl=de

Innovative interface, gemeration of own filters and for free. Also no adds. The pro version seems to be less expensive than the competition, yet you have like 10 additional features when buying it. That is why I also bought it!

But like the other Android apps mentioned in this thread, it works only with android apps. It's sad that there is no such native BBOS10 App.
