If you replace your browser with another, how can you get links etc to open with your new browser without manually selecting it for each and every link?

In some cases I just can't get it to switch.

But if you long press a link and use Open In

At the bottom is a checkbox to set as default

    1. Hold the link until the context menu opens.
    2. Tap 'Open in'.
    3. Check 'Set as default app' at the top.
    4. Tap the application. (e.g. Browsie Browser)
    5. Done.

You need to do this for both http and https links.

I think Twitter is coded to only open in the native browser.

    Replacing your browser-img_20150903_002648.png

could you check if In Application Web View is turned ON. I remember Twitter is opening on a 3rd party Web browser on mine.

I have it turned off. It opens in the stock browser regardless of how this is set.

use the "open in" and "set as default" too in Twitter links. I think if an app is not recognizing the default browser I'm using "open in" again. I'm not sure how I did it.

    Opera (android) has data compression.

But downloading 'Browsie Browser' and disabling image downloading and javascript should help a lot too!

@BoyTanggol - I've done that, nothing seems to work with Twitter, each time set as default and each time using Open In. Seems to be hardwired which is a pity.

Native Browser bookmarks can be backed up via BlackBerry Link.

Opera Mini is a good choice. This browser will compress data and lets you choose to turn off images but also can show them in low quality. You will save a lot of data (up to like 90%) but still have a good surfing experience . But on my Z10 Opera Mini keeps crashing after the first shutdown.

Same here, first startup is fine. But the second time it'll crash on startup (tested opera, opera mini, and the betas)

Shame since their data compression can be really helpful when you're roaming.
