    So, I got an email from Microsoft saying that their messenger will be completely replaced by Skype by April 8th.

    During this transition. Do you think they are also working on the mobile app for all mobile platforms?

    Just speculating of course, but it would make sense for this to happen.

    Not if the sales are good. Good devs will want their best effort or someone else might just take money away from them by going native.

    It sounds like Skype will be an Android port based on Android 4.1. The Android Player in BB10 needs to be updated to support it. It sounds like a Z10 update will come around the same time as the US launch. So maybe Skype has already been tested with the new player and all that is needed is the BB10 update.
