Hey guys. Just bought a Polar M400 watch and I'm really trying hard to make this thing work under BB. Basically a M400 is a bluetooth smarth enabled watch that syncs with your phone.

I was able to find the most up to date apk and install it, the app is working but I cannot get the phone (Classic) and the watch to sync. I have an iPad also and on the iPad you just open the app and sync the device and it works, no need to connect bluetooth first.

On BB, it's a different story. the BB can see the watch in the bluetooth menu and it can connect to it but they cannot sync. The watch gives an app error and the app itself is not reacting. I see the BB message to authorize the watch but then it fails.

Has anyone encountered a similar situation. I'm thinking it may be impossible but trying here as a last resort.

    Thanks

If you look at the latest reviews for the Polar Flow Android app on Google Play, there are lots of users complaining that the last update had made the app unable to connect to the watch.

So it's likely that in this case the Android app is at fault, not the Classic.

Check the Google Play site for a future update and try again with the next version.

Just so you know you're not alone I have a Polar V800 and can't connect either. Tried patching the app a few different ways with no effect but it also doesn't connect to my watch when using an android device either. Their list of compatible android devices is pretty short so here's hoping they add extra compatibility which enables BlackBerrys to connect.

Probably need to wait for the next os build, it seems that it's an issue with Bluetooth and the android runtime integration.

I have syncing working with my M400 and Z30 running 10.3.2.2252.

I'm on the latest firmware for the watch and glow app (2.2.0)

It's a little funky but works. Here are the steps:

delete the watch from your Bluetooth settings, if saved

    Turn on Bluetooth

Open the flow app, sign in if not already signed in, let it sync with the Web if you have never done so before, it takes a while.

On the watch, if you attempted to sync in the past delete your phone from the paired devices menu.

Have the flow app open, then Hold the back button on the watch and put phone next to watch, you should see a request to pair, accept it.

The initial sync should work fine, it takes a few minutes.

To sync after the initial sync, this is where it gets funky:

Bluetooth on and flow app open, hold the back button on watch,it will start trying to connect.

Goto Bluetooth settings, you will see the watch connect for a few seconds, then disconnect, when it's connected delete it

Once it's been deleted the next time it try to connect it will work and sync.

I've noticed that the flow app needs to be open and in focus, moving to the background doesn't seem to work very well.

Hope it works, if what I explained doesn't make sense let me know and I'll try to clarify.

    Good luck!

Hi it seems to be working, although this being said... does this mean I need to pair the devices every time I want to sync ? I really love my BB Leap but it is frustrating to realise it hardly works with other devices...

Don't need to actually pair it, just delete and it comes back on its own.

Try deleting the device from Bluetooth when it's trying to connect again, hit yes when asked to accept connection

Hey all, just got my V800 about a week ago. I've been trying to find the Polar Flow app in Snap and in the Amazon app store, but I can't seem to find it. Where are you guys finding the app or app link to get onto your BlackBerry devices? I'm currently using a Passport. I've been experiencing some other issues with my device recently, so I am also considering switching platforms, but for now, I'd really like to give this a shot on my Passport.

    Thanks!

Snap will only show the apps that are compatible with the Android GSF ID you provided. I had the same problem with Vector smartwatch, I couldn't download their Android app using Snap as the Android device I used to setup Snap is not compatible. I ended up downloading the apk from Evozi web service :
    https://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/

I don't own a Polar watch, so can't help much more than this.

Ive been using my polar m400 with the z10 for about a month now....it works. takes forever to sync the data via bluetooth but it works. I just sync while im driving then check the data when im done driving, or sync while taking a sh-t, or just doing something else. I could never just dedicate time to syncing data and viewing results because it takes 3-5 mins or so but it does work.
