Anyone here knows if pattern lock is possible with BlackBerry 10? I really hope that future os update can allow user to lock screen with pattern.

The BlackBerry World has this so called "Lock Pattern Creator"... but before you jump to joy, this app is only for memorizing and practicing (can you believe in that? and it is one the 100K apps)...

Anyway, I was waiting actually for that kind of app... it is really annoying to enter your password frequently using keyboard... no matter how good or excellent the keyboard is... pattern lock is much better... hopefully, it will part of next OS update or at least a third party native application...

As far as I've heard, BBRY owns that patent . . . . Pattern Lock is one of the best apps, again, I don't get why it's not available considering how much it does for those with touchscreens.

I don't mind if pattern lock is less secure than the password combinations. Just bring it with the next update or release the api for developer to create one third party.

I'm hoping it comes in a future update. I much prefer a pattern lock to a password personally. But whether or not BlackBerry implements it, an API to interact with the lock screen would be very useful as well.

I just side loaded app lock on my z10 but it does not have enough locking features, mainly third party apps, incoming calls, uninstall apps is what it can do. I need it to lock media like pics and vids

That's the nice thing about choices.. you don't have to enable it when it becomes available.. but the rest of us in this thread will.

I'd prefer native.. but i'll happily pay for a decent 3rd party version if native doesn't become available. Hopefully they at least release that api soon.. I think they likely will eventually.

Heh. How would you enter a lock pattern from the keyboard of the computer when you plug it in? And, yeah, typing an 8 character password all the time sucks....

You can easily have a password and a pattern...the pattern will move over the letter of your password almost like swype.
