Paper Pusher Scanner insists on using the flash even when turned off in the app. Other scanning apps are honoring the flash setting just fine - but not this app.

Author responded. No other such reports (and offered refund if I desired). So I uninstalled, restarted the handset, and reinstalled, and it is working again. I had tried this previously, but without the restart in between. If I was the only one, I figured there must be a way to get it working. Now I am happy again - this was one of my favorite and most used apps for my work. I had started using alternative apps, but prefer this one - and kudos to the developer for his response.

What about disabling the flash permanently in your cam App.?
This is my setting for PaperPusherScanner:

With "white board mode" the illumination is better and I add roomlight.
It never used my flashlight!
I am satisfied with the App, but use the camera to make my serial photos then the app to create PDFs from the photos. So I don't use the App to make the photos.

Just noticed you solved it...
How ever my recommendation stands... I suggest to make the photos with the settings above with enough environment/room-light. Cheers.
