Hi there, long time reader, but don't post, simply because I'm not as educated about technology as the rest of you smart folk.
I was just wondering if there was any way of running the classic pokemon games (red, blue, yellow, gold, silver) on the z10. I would love to get this for my son, he isn't liking the Tower Defense game.

I tried to download a gameboy emulator onto the z10 , this one:
Game Boy and GBA Emulator for Playbook and BB10 - Blackberry Playbook and BB10 Android Games | Android APPS - BB10 Apps & Playbook Apps

but when I try to open it on the phone it closes itself right away.

I would greatly appreciate all the help!

that might be the one that was ported to the playbook. So i assume it's not very compatible with the Z10.

Rejoice however coz there's already a port of a gba emulator made by someone.

Try the emulator discussed in this forum instead Sounds pretty great, bluetooth controller support, hook it up to the tv with HDMI and let 'er rip!

Definitely use this. I've already played through red and gold on it. I even managed to complete my pokedex in red due to an excess of glitches in the early versions (completing a pokedex is very anticlimactic though...). I do occasionally have a life when there isn't a new emulator.

I know some that were on the playbook close when there are no roms for it to load. That could be the problem.

just got it working on my Z10, works fine, and easy installation but frame rates and music were choppy. other than that its fun and classic childhood memories

you have to have at least one gba rom in your phone
