I've tried a number of off-line GPS apps and all so far are either unstable, don't provide voice nav, insist on storing maps on device memory or don't work when completely offline (area's without cell service or WiFi. Any suggestions?

Not sure what you mean by storing maps on device memory. Don't all offline maps need to do that?

Anyway, have you tried Navfree by Navmii? Cross platform app, available for BB10 here:

EDIT: Just clicked on "SD Card" in your subject line. I guess Navfree is out then.

Mireo Don't Panic can store maps on an sd card. It works offline after that. I will say you have to get use to its interface. But just used it in the desert Southwest where there was no cell service.

You can sample some of the maps in advance but if you want them, they are not necessarily cheap.

How can I even find out what the maps cost? All I could find were priced packages for the iPhone, while Android and BB versions don't provide any pricing info. I guess this is deliberate so they can "twist" your arm once you installed the app

As I recall the Mireo maps are $25 for all of North America. ( Edit: They were actually $20.)

If you install it, you can see all the prices within the app itself.

Sygic (through Snap, not Amazon) sometimes works on my Passport but often looses signal. Any idea how come and how to prevent this from happening.

How do you have Sygic became to run?
For me it does not work.
Every time "error, no Google play".

I copied my registered Android Sygic folder to the Passport and next installed the app through Snap. No problem, except that it works until it begins to loose signal. Still hoping someone will help solve this.
