Instagram is more than just picture editing software though..It's a social media site like Twitter and FB. I don't use it, but if it's not available, that could be a big let down for a lot of people who do.

It was the one app I was looking for... it might be a dealbreaker for some... just checked twitter and a lot of people wanting to switch over were looking for IG. I'm still hoping it'll come out soon.

I don't really need or want Netflix but Instagram would have been useful because a couple of friends and family use it. I'm still definately getting a Z10 though.

spotify said they were coming to BlackBerry a while ago so maybe they were waiting for BB10

I agree while the editing software looks awesome thats only half of the desire of instagram, maybe even less then half. The social network aspect from my countless friends that use it constantly refer to the networking of it: "likes" "sharing explicitly pictures" and such over what kind of filters it has. The only thing I can think of is that it is there just they didn't feel the need to announce it at launch because it is most likely not used by the enterprise market they are really trying to cater to especially at launch.
