Any recommendations for a native app that can reliably upload to YT? Paid or unpaid.

Kinda doesn't matter, they all seem to use the same API - https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/search/Upload%20YouTube/, which generally seems broken due to lack of app updates etc etc. Might be better off looking at some of the Android apps that do it. What's wrong with the built-in uploader? It broke as well?

Thanks; built in uploading seems to be stuck in a loop attempting to continuously authenticate through the browser-based login page I end up with a screen that flickers between login / rejection and I have to kill the process to escape.

I might fiddle clearing the browser cache etc

More accurately it flickers backwards and forwards between upload / link accounts
